A dramatic transformation has given this family an inviting modern living and entertainment area to enjoy and share with friends. Honed block was used to create outdoor rooms, privacy screens and retaining walls, creating intimacy and functional entertainment zones from the existing long, open outdoor area.
The 10kg black oxide acid-washed concrete tiles used under the outdoor dining and surrounding the spa combine form and function, creating an interesting and cohesive finish. Issues with pooling water were remedied with carefully placed channel drains and soak pits, which have alleviated the problem while working with the landscape design.
